Switching to a meter makes saving money and water simple. Almost 90% of our customers already have a water meter, so they only ever pay for what they use and not a penny more.
On average customers that are on measured charges use 38% less water than those on fixed unmeasured charges – which means we need to take less from the environment to meet the demand for water across our region.

What if you change your mind?
If you find you’re not better off after moving to measured charges, you might be able to switch back to unmeasured rates.
Between now and April 2030 we’re moving all customers with a meter over to measured charges. Once our programme reaches your area and you have a meter fitted, you’ll move over to metered charges even if you’ve chosen to switch back to unmeasured rates previously.
